Illumiti Welcomes new Vice President of Delivery

Toronto (July 10, 2014) – Illumiti is pleased to announce that Steven Pasquill has joined the firm as Vice President – Delivery, based in its Toronto office. In this role, Steven is responsible for managing long-term client relationships involving major SAP implementations across Canada. He is ultimately accountable within Illumiti for successful project delivery and for an excellent level of customer satisfaction within his client group.

Steven has over 25 years of Business and IT experience as both a hands-on consultant and as a senior executive, including over 15 years of SAP implementation experience as an HR/Payroll Consultant, Project Manager, Delivery Executive and Practice Lead.

Over his career Steven has led teams ranging in size from 10 to over 200 people on a diverse set of projects spanning across many industry verticals, including:  Utilities – Electrical, Gas and Well Servicing, Telecommunication, Mining, High Tech, Financial Services – Banking, Investment Services and Real Estate, Government – Federal, Provincial, and Municipal, and Rail.

Illumiti Strengthens Leadership Team

Illumiti, a leading systems integration and management consulting firm, today announced several promotions within the company’s senior management team. Jamie Fryer has been promoted to Partner, North America Sales; Rory Friedman has been promoted to Partner, Mining & EC&O; Peter Orton has been named Partner, US Operations; and Stephen Thomas, has been appointed Vice President, Consulting.

Jamie Fryer joined Illumiti in 2007 and since that time has played an instrumental role in building Illumiti’s sales team and driving firm growth.    In his new role as Partner, North America Sales, Jamie will be responsible for leading Illumiti’s North American sales team and overall sales strategy.  Jamie will continue to work with a wide range of customers to help them find the best SAP solutions for their organization.  Jamie’s past experience includes over 8 years working with DataMirror Corporation and more recently Oracle Canada. 

Peter Orton joined Illumiti in 2010.  Based out of Illumiti’s Denver office, Peter has been responsible for developing Illumiti’s US practice, including the growth of the SAP Business All-in-One practice, setting up the Denver office and building a team of experienced SAP consultants.  In his new role, Peter will be responsible for the continued growth of the US practice, operations in the US and the overall quality of client projects.  Peter has over 24 years of experience as an Information Technology professional including 20 years focused on implementing and enhancing SAP applications. His experience includes over 20 successful SAP projects in agriculture, aerospace, chemical, financial services, wholesale distribution, mining, manufacturing and retail industries across North America, Europe and Australia.

Rory Friedman joined Illumiti in 2007 as VP Operations for the SAP All-in-One business and has been instrumental in helping Illumiti build a consulting practise to support sales and delivery in this line of business.  In his new role as Partner, Rory will be responsible for building innovative, industry specific solutions in verticals covering Mining, Engineering and Construction as well as Professional Services. Rory has over 18 years of experience implementing a wide range of SAP products. His SAP implementation experience includes having worked as a project manager and functional lead consultant, on over 20 implementations.

Stephen Thomas joined Illumiti in 2011 as a Director of Solutions Architecture, responsible for solution architecture and quality assurance on pre-sales engagements and client projects. Stephen has also managed and led Illumiti’s Supply Chain consulting team. In his new role as Vice President of Consulting, Steve assumes overall responsibility for the consulting team at Illumiti.  Steve has over 18 years of SAP consulting and implementation experience across all Supply Chain processes.

Capstone Mining Goes Live with SAP® Business All-in-One

TORONTO, April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Illumiti, a leading systems integration and management consulting firm, announced today the “go live” implementation of the SAP® Business All-in-One solution for Pinto Valley Mining Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Capstone Mining Corp. 

Capstone is a Canadian base metals mining company, with three producing copper mines: Pinto Valley in the US, Cozamin in Mexico, and Minto in Canada. Capstone also has two development projects: Santo Domingo in Chile and Kutcho in Canada, as well as exploration properties in Chile and Mexico.

In October 2013, Capstone completed the acquisition of the Pinto Valley copper mine and SMARRCO railroad (collectively “Pinto Valley”) from a global leader in the mining industry.  As a result of the new acquisition, Pinto Valley needed to transition to its own independent SAP solution-based environment within a four and a half month period.

Illumiti was selected to help implement SAP Business All-in-One.

Lundin Mining Goes Live with SAP® Business All-in-One

Illumiti announced today the successful “go live” of the SAP® Business All-in-One solution that it implemented for Lundin Mining.

Lundin Mining is a diversified base metals mining company with operations and projects in Portugal, Sweden, Spain and the US.A, producing copper, zinc, lead and nickel. In addition, Lundin Mining holds a 24% equity stake in the world-class Tenke Fungurume copper/cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in the Freeport Cobalt Oy business, which includes a cobalt refinery located in Kokkola, Finland.

The new SAP Business All-in-One solution, which includes SAP Worksforce Performance Builder software, ERP and business intelligence (BI) software from SAP, was implemented for Lundin’s Eagle Mine, located in Marquette County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and will enable Lundin to better manage, track and analyze key performance indicators associated with their mining operations.

This implementation will enable Eagle Mine to optimize its operations and provide integrated management of key functions at the core of their business, including: financial accounting, project controls, procurement, inventory management, plant maintenance, and employee health and safety.

Lundin Mining chose Illumiti as its implementation partner because of its track record working with mining companies, and its proven ability to support mining related operations.

Illumiti Announces “Go Live” Implementation of SAP® BusinessObjects™ Business Intelligence 4.0 for Alamos Gold

TORONTO, July 4, 2013 – Illumiti announced today the “go live” implementation of the SAP® BusinessObjects™ Business Intelligence (BI) platform 4.0 for Alamos Gold.

Alamos, a leader in growing low-cost production and financial performance, and delivering shareholder value, is an established, Canadian-based gold producer that owns and operates the Mulatos Mine in Mexico, and engages in exploration and development activities in Mexico and Turkey. Alamos employs more than 600 people and is committed to the highest standards of environmental management, social responsibility, and health and safety for its employees and neighboring communities. Alamos is listed on the TSX and the NYSE under the symbol “AGI.”

The new solution,  is expected to enable Alamos to significantly enhance its reporting capability with the use of interactive dashboards, mobile compatible Web intelligence reports, and executive workspace with dashboard key performance indicators. And through the use of the edition of SAP BusinessObjects Analysis software for use with Microsoft Office, Alamos can also simplify the distribution of management reports.

This is Alamos Gold’s second major implementation of SAP solutions over the past year.  Earlier in the year, Alamos upgraded its environment of SAP solutions from the SAP enhancement package 3 for the SAP ERP application to the release 6 of the enhancement package. It did this to take advantage of new functionality and to stay current with new technology.

“We needed a solution that was affordable and yet gave us the ability to prepare reports with live SAP ERP data, easily accessed via a button, ” said Faiza Usman, director, Program Management, Alamos Gold. “The upgrade to SAP enhancement package 6 along with the implementation of SAP BusinessObjects BI will enable us to focus our time on what really matters.”

Using the new solutions, Alamos has simplified and automated various manual business processes, enabling it to generate sophisticated reports and dashboards with minimal effort.  This has resulted in a significant reduction in time spent producing reports in favor of analyzing results.  The SAP BusinessObjects Analysis software leverages an easy-to-use Microsoft Excel front-end interface, reducing user-training cycles and the learning curve for end users.

Illumiti Announces “Go Live” Implementation of SAP® Business Intelligence Solutions at Stewardship Ontario

Toronto, March 14, 2013 – Illumiti announced today the “go live” implementation of SAP® solutions for Stewardship Ontario.

Stewardship Ontario is a private, not-for-profit organization that develops, funds and operates Ontario’s highly successful recycling programs for printed paper and packaging (Blue Box curbside collection program) and household hazardous or special waste (Orange Drop Program) on behalf of industry stewards.

The solutions implemented by Illumiti include SAP BusinessObjects™ solutions, specifically the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform and reporting tools, as well as SAP NetWeaver® Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW). The capabilities provided by these solutions will enable Stewardship Ontario to better manage, track and analyze key performance indicators associated with its recycling operations.

Illumiti hosts ASUG Ontario Chapter Meeting

Illumiti Announces “Go Live” of SAP® Solution at the Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth

TORONTO, September 27, 2012 – Illumiti, announced today the “go live” implementation of the SAP® Investigative Case Management for Public Sector package for the Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth (the “Advocate’s Office”).

The Advocate’s Office reports directly to the Legislature of Ontario and provides an independent voice for children and youth, including children with special needs and First Nations children.  The advocates receive and respond to concerns from children, youth and families who are seeking or receiving services under the Child and Family Services Act and the Education Act (Provincial and Demonstration Schools).

Illumiti completed the implementation project during a five-month period, with minimal disruption to the  Advocate Office’s day-to-day operations.  The new solution will further enable the Office to manage, track and analyze case information in real time.

Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth Selects Illumiti and the SAP® Investigative Case Management for Public Sector Package to Help Manage Operations

Illumiti today announced that The Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth (OPACY) has selected the SAP® Investigative Case Management for Public Sector package and Illumiti as its implementation partner.

OPACY reports directly to the Legislature of Ontario and provides an independent voice for children and youth, including children with special needs and First Nations children. The advocates receive and respond to concerns from children, youth and families who are seeking or receiving services under the Child and Family Services Act and the Education Act (Provincial and Demonstration Schools).

OPACY selected the SAP Investigative Case Management package (based on SAP Business All-in-One) to support its evolving management information system needs.

Laricina Energy Improves Efficiency and Fuels Growth with Illumiti and SAP®

Since going live with its SAP® Business All-in-One solution in May 2010, Laricina Energy has more than tripled its staff while significantly improving the efficiency of its financial and project cost control operations.

Laricina Energy is a privately held company focused on creating value by developing Canada’s oil sands using innovative in situ technologies. According to the company web site, it has a diverse portfolio of oil sands assets at varied stages of development, and experienced people with the requisite technical expertise. Laricina has identified five core areas with commercial production potential in excess of 500,000 gross barrels of bitumen per day from a large concentrated resource base with approximately 4.6 billion barrels net recoverable bitumen.

As part of expanding its exploration and development projects and preparing for commercial oil production and future growth – Laricina decided to implement an integrated business management / ERP solution. Eldorado Gold integrates Chinese mines into global SAP® Business All-in-One environment

Canadian international gold producer Eldorado Gold Corporation (TSX: ELD, NYSE: EGO ASX: EAU) recently completed the implementation of its SAP Business All-in-One system in the four mines it operates in China and in its Beijing head office. The company’s Chinese mines include Jinfeng, Eastern Dragon, White Mountain and Tianjianshan.

Illumiti was tasked with delivering the project, having successfully implemented SAP Business All-in-One for Eldorado Gold’s corporate headquarters in Canada as well as its operations in Turkey. Illumiti applied the system blueprint previously developed for Eldorado Gold using its SAP-certified “Accelerated ERP for Mining” solution. Illumiti worked with IMG China as its local partner, bringing the system into live operation in two stages, on April 4th and May 2nd, 2011.

The live system supports financial management, control and materials management for all implemented sites, as well as maintenance, human resources management and payroll for all operational mines. It was implemented on-time and under budget at all locations within a 6.5-month timeframe. Long Trinh, Operations Controller, Eldorado Gold Corporation, China said: “With their experienced and skilled staff Illumiti was able to provide invaluable guidance to the local consulting team in rolling out the Eldorado Gold company template. They kept the project on schedule and when big or small issues arose they provided technical and business knowledge to quickly resolve the issues.”

Now that the system is live, Eldorado Gold China expects to see benefits from integrated and consistent business processes throughout the organization. They also expect to benefit from being able to satisfy Chinese local and central reporting requirements as well as being able to comply with IFRS reporting standards.

Cruickshank selects Illumiti and SAP® to optimize business operations

Cruickshank Construction Limited (www.crucon.ca) is a progressive road builder and aggregate producer based in south-eastern Ontario.  The family owned business, founded by Les Cruickshank in 1956, continues operations under the guidance of son Steve, company president since 1999.  The company motto is “we do our level best” and its business is focused on road construction, highway maintenance, construction materials, ready mix concrete, asphalt and aggregates.

With continued growth in business volumes, Cruickshank recognizes a strong need for an integrated ERP system to support the management of its large construction projects / contracts.  The company also requires improved information system support for maintaining its fleet of heavy equipment and managing its quarries. Moreover, Cruickshank wants an HR system, integrated with its ERP system and providing a particular focus on qualifications and certifications.

Illumiti has recently been selected by a mid-sized North American software company to deliver and implement a combined ERP and CRM solution using SAP Business All-in-One. The solution will replace a number of legacy systems currently in use at the software company and will cover several functional process areas including Financial Management, Human Capital Management, Software Configuration Management, Professional Services and Customer Relationship Management. In addition, the solution will enable automated consolidation of the results of several global operating entities into an overall group-wide view and will provide enhanced Business Intelligence capabilities. The implementation utilizes a phased approach and the first phase is planned to go live during the coming summer.
